A favorite from Jim Hole’s herd was 43K, who left tight-uddered, easy-keeping cows with longevity & excellent feet. Other 47E elements: thick, deep, quiet, with a golden curly haircoat, red testicles, mostly red eyes, small feather neck & full of performance (WW 113 indx, past summer 3.54 ADG = 1853 lbs by Dec 2018) while easy on feed! The sire’s age punishes EPDs, but indexes excel: 106 REA (1.01/100 lbs), 115 Ribfat, 122 Rump. Volumous, red dam 118A has a flat udder & well-placed teats (4 sons avg WN indx 106.8).
