This Deckhand is ready to work – he’s built for the job – really correct, thick, extra-long with a wide straight top – and bred for working by the deep and easy keeping 28Z. The dam, 57S, is an excellent cow with the volume, longevity and outstanding haircoat that we demand. While not particularly bred for the lightest birthweights, we certainly wouldn’t hesitate to try him on a few heifers, (EPDs would tend to agree, as the CE EPD is in the top 30% of the breed and BW EPD in the top 20%), but he’d certainly be great maintenance for the cow herd.
